The Dead Shall be Raised
A private Halloween exhibition of souls from New Haven's Grove Street Cemetery.
The Egyptian Revival entry gateway to New Haven CT's Grove Street Cemetery bears the ominous biblical inscription "The Dead Shall be Raised." In an effort to facilitate this ethereal flow of our early national elites the first 50 burials were metaphorically exhumed and put on display in Yale's Graphic Design Atrium on Halloween night of 2007. A select few were subsequently released into the air while the remainder slowly lilted back to the ground in a completely unceremonious and insensitive fashion. Completed with the help of Stina Carlberg.
